BTP Systems has been supporting the MILSTAR EHF command post antenna systems for the past eleven years.  We perform this work for Hill AFB and Tobyhanna Army Depot.  The command post antennas consist of ground fixed, ground mobile and airborne terminals.  These systems provide critical command and control of nuclear forces.  With delays in the FAB-T program, BTP has provided crucial sustainment support to keep these systems fielded.  In addition to standard repair and overhauls of these antennas and their sub-components, we have addressed obsolescence issues with complete redesign of two critical components:

Our most recent design effort was a new microwave frequency multiplier/RF amplifier (X7) to replace the legacy unit under contract SPRHA3-13-C-0004 .  This unit met all environmental and nuclear survivability requirements and 14 units were produced and fielded.

Using our ISO-9001:2008 approved design process, we performed a complete redesign of the obsolete CONSCAN motor and control system for MILSTAR air and ground antennas under prime contract FA8250-10-C-0021.  The systems engineering efforts included the creation of a customer approved specification, and preliminary and critical design reviews.  BTP's design was successfully qualified under a rigorous environmental and functional test program including shock, vibration, thermal and EMI/EMC requirements.
